Driver charged in Darke Co. pedestrian accident

GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – The Darke County Prosecutors office has filed charges against Billie N. Skeens, 24.

Skeens is charged with driving under suspension, reckless operation, and pedestrian on cross walk has right of way.

She is accused of hitting a 13-year-old with her car the morning of Dec. 20 near the schools in Arcanum.

2 NEWS Investigates spoke with the prosecutor who says the charges were filed on Jan. 2.

He said they did not charge initially because they wanted to wait to see how the teen recovered.

Skeens will be in court on Feb. 11 at 8 a.m.
