Girl hit by mom’s car while sledding

WAYNESVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – A young girl is recovering after a sledding accident in Waynesville.

Investigators say the 9year old was sledding in her driveway on North Main Street when her mother pulled into the driveway hitting her.

A little boy who witnessed the accident told WLWT-TV, “She just went straight under and the sled came out, but she was still under the car and then they went up the driveway and she stopped and they just stopped and they looked and saw her under the car so they were trying to get her out.”
The girl was trapped under the car for a brief time.  Careflight took her to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Officers say the girl’s injuries are very serious, but not life threatening.

No word if any charges could be filed.
