Ned Peppers disturbance leads to one arrested

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A late night disturbance at a bar in the Oregon District lands one man in jail.

Police were dispatched to Ned Peppers at 419 East Fifth Street on a weapons complaint around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

A bouncer at the bar told police he was stationed at the back door when 22-year-old Mark Hurd Jr. who employees said was highly intoxicated was removed from the bar. He said Hurd threatened to kill employees.

Officials said Hurd was carrying two knives.

A short time before this incident happened, employees said another patron smashed in the rear glass door of the bar. Police said the two incidents are unrelated.
