Facebook threat lands teen in custody

SOUTH VIENNA, Ohio (WDTN) – A Facebook chat ends with a Clark County student in juvenile detention.

Deputies say a teacher at South Vienna Middle School discovered threats were made against her on Facebook.

They say some students were holding chat sessions about how they were being treated at school.  One student is accused of saying he would throw a desk at the teacher and hire someone to shoot her.

The teacher told school administrators, who contacted police.

The student was arrested on a charge of menacing and is being held in the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center.

The threats were made outside of the classroom.  The school day was not affected.
