The man who was pulled from his burning home Thursday morning has died, according to officials with the Dayton fire department.

Firefighters responded to the 2000 block of Kennedy Avenue around 8 a.m.

A man was found unconscious inside the house, near the front of the home.   He was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials believe the fire was started accidentally, but are still working to determine its exact origin.

Firefighters did face challenges in putting out the fire because two nearby fire hydrants were frozen.

Crews had to use water supply from another apparatus.

Warming stations were also set up to help firefighters keep warm.
