WAYNE TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – A burglary investigation in Warren County turned into a homicide investigation Wednesday afternoon.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were investigating a burglary at a Wayne Township residence Tuesday when they discovered an 18- year old was missing.

They say it was evident that a violent crime took place.  There was also property stolen from the residence on Corwin Road.

Deputies called the crime ‘brutal’ during a news conference.  They say the victim, Justin Back, 18, was stabbed, choked and shot.

Back’s body was found around noon Wednesday dumped in Preble County.

Police say he was a graduate of Waynesville High School and was going into the military next month.  It appears that one of the suspects, Austin Myers, 19, was a classmate.

Investigators say Myers and Timothy Mosley, 19, of Dayton, were hanging out with Back Monday.   They believe the two were planning the attack.

Both men face a murder charge.  Formal charges are expected Thursday.
