Mother and son’s deaths accidental in Kettering fatal fire

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office released the final report about the deaths of two family members who died in a house fire in Kettering.

The coroner ruled the death of Alicia Mobley an accident. The final report says she died from inhalation of combustible materials.

Her son, Jacob’s death, was also ruled an accident. The report says he too died from inhaling combustible materials.

The coroner’s ruling about the deaths of another son, Shaun, Jr., and his grandfather, Forrest Carroll, is pending.

The family’s home on Craig Drive in Kettering burned down in early December 2013.
