DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Chaminade Julienne High School is getting a multi-million dollar facelift.
School leaders announced a major renovation project Thursday evening.
The high school is located on Ludlow Street in downtown Dayton.
Plans include a new 700 seat auditorium, a redesigned cafeteria and classrooms.
It also includes a competition venue for soccer and lacrosse.
A fundraising campaign generated more than $13-million for the project.
“We have so many wonderful people who care about this place and the momentum we have been able to pull really makes me proud. I’m a graduate of this school. I had two children graduate from here, so clearly I’m invested in what we are trying to accomplish,” said Dan Meixner, CJ President.
The construction is expected to be complete in three to four years.
