DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – There is talk within the ranks of the U.S. Air Force to move of its Virginia-based Office of Scientific Research to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, according to a Jan. 31 report published by the Dayton Business Journal.

The Office of Scientific Research funds research at academic institutions, commercial firms , and other Air Force programs.

A study is now being conducted to determine if the move is cost-effective.

If the move does happen, it would likely bring nearly 170 jobs to Wright-Patt.
