Extra police patrols for the big game this weekend

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Police Department is joining a national initiative to keep drivers safe this weekend.

Police Chief Richard Biehl says extra patrols will be on the road all weekend to catch drunk drivers.

His department is joining the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the National Football League to spread the message about designating a sober driver after the big game on Sunday.

The initiative this weekend was dubbed ‘Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk’.
