Man asks driver for ride, robbed at gunpoint

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officers are on the lookout for two suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint when he asked them for a ride.

Police were dispatched to Brooklyn Avenue and Kammer Avenue just before 3 a.m. Saturday on reports of an armed robbery.

According to the police report, the victim was walking to get something to eat when he asked a passing car for a ride. He said a man and woman in the car then pointed a gun at him and demanded money.

The victim told police the suspects fled in a blue Chevrolet towards Hoover Avenue.

Police said the two suspects took about $80-$90 from the victim. The victim was uninjured.
