TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — Passionate shoppers and Target supporters held a rally Saturday to keep the Trotwood Target store open.

Folks organized a shop-in at the location on Shiloh Springs Road, encouraging people to spend money in an effort to keep the store from closing its doors permanently.

In early January, Target announced it would close its stores in Trotwood and Middletown in May.

In a street-side demonstration Saturday, people petitioned and held signs in support of the store. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
