Dayton man guilty of murder

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Montgomery County jury found a Dayton man guilty of murder Monday.

Samuel White, 27, shot and killed Bryan Coatney, 40, in April 2012.

Prosecutors say Coatney was gunned down in the doorway of his home on Parkwood Drive. The two men had a strained relationship. White was dating the victim’s ex-girlfriend.

White was found guilty on two counts of murder and two counts of felonious assault.

He will be sentenced February 19.
