Local man found guilty of murdering Dayton choir director

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A local man accused of murder was found guilty Thursday night.

A Montgomery County jury found Shawn Wood guilty on all charges, including aggravated murder and burglary.

He gunned down Corey Turner, 39, outside his Harrison Township apartment in February 2011. He also stole some of the victim’s property.

Turner was a longtime choir director and organist at a Dayton church.

Wood will be sentenced February 25.
