DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A 22-year-old man was arrested after police say he broke into the Dayton Dragons stadium and tried to steal merchandise.

Christopher Wilhelm was arrested on charges of breaking and entering, criminal trespassing, and disorderly conduct.

According to police, a security guard was doing rounds around 4 a.m. Saturday when he spotted Wilhelm breaking into locked cabinets in one of the offices. The security guard told officers some of the computer wires also appeared to be tampered with.

Officers said Wilhelm also tried to steal a Dayton Dragons ball cap.

Wilhelm was booked into the Montgomery County Jail. He is expected to appear in court on Monday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
