Broom attack lands man in jail

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man was arrested after police said he got into an argument with his brother, pulled a gun, and hit his brother with a broom.

Wesley Lynch, 29, faces charges of assault and aggravated menacing.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Huffman Avenue after 7:30 p.m. Saturday on a fight call.

Officers said Sean and Wesley Lynch were in the kitchen of the home playing dice for cash when Sean lost a lot of money to Wesley and told Wesley “Your kids are retarded.” An argument ensued.

Sean told police his brother hit him twice with a broom and pulled out a gun.

Officers collected evidence from the scene.

Wesley was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
