SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) – A couple purse snatchings have Sidney police looking for two people who may know something about the crimes.

Both thefts occurred on February 9. The first happened at 1:40 p.m. at the Kroger Store. The second occurred a short time later at the Walmart store.

Police arrested Jacob Martin, 20, on an unrelated charge and discovered that he had some of the stolen property from the purses.

Officers are looking for the man and woman in the surveillance photo because they believe the two might have information about the crimes. No charges have been filed.

Sidney police ask that you call the Shelby County Crime Stoppers line at 937-492-TIPS if you recognize the man and woman in the photo.

A reward is being offered for information that leads to the duo’s identities.
