FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – After long negotiations, the unions representing teachers in the Fairborn City Schools will vote on a contract proposal by the school board.

2 NEWS confirmed Wednesday evening that the proposal is on the table and the unions representing teachers will be voted on Tuesday, February 18.
If the union votes to accept the proposal, the board would then vote to ratify or reject the new collective bargaining agreement.

The FEA/FCEA union spokesperson tells 2 NEWS that a scheduled hearing next Wednesday about an unfair labor practice lawsuit will be canceled if the new contract passes the vote.

The Fairborn Education Association and the Fairborn Classified Employees Association represent more than 350 teachers, faculty members  and support professionals in Fairborn City Schools.
