Teen admits to driving hit-and-run car

FRANKLIN, Ohio (WDTN) – A teen from Carlisle told police he was driving the suspected car involved in a hit-and-run accident in Franklin Tuesday night.

Gerald Retherford, 72, was hit just after 9:00 while crossing Fourth Street near Franklin High School. Retherford was taken to Atrium Medical Center for treatment. His condition has not been released.

Accompanied by his parents, the 17-year-old came to the Franklin Police Department at 9:00 Wednesday morning.

The accident is still being investigated and charges may be pending through the Warren County Juvenile Court.
