RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) – A bright sunny morning is being blamed for two accidents in the same location on Linden Avenue Tuesday morning.

It happened near the intersection of Spaulding Road in Riverside around 8:00.

A Riverside officer was stopping to assist a motorist that had run off the road after being blinded by the sun.

That’s when another driver, also blinded by the sun, smashed into the back of the cruiser.

The officer was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with minor injuries.

No one else injured.
