Family of Love’s shooting victim files lawsuit

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The family of a man killed at the Love’s Travel Stop in Dayton has filed a lawsuit claiming wrongful death.

Police say Goran Sojic, 48, of Illinois, was killed in December by armed security guard, Joshua Karp.

Dayton investigators are still determining what happened.

Karp told them it was in self defense.

The family of Sojic are seeking more than $25,000 in damages from Karp, Love’s Travel Stop and the security company Karp was employed by, Aron.
