BETHEL TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – A multi-car pile up created a traffic jam that left drivers stuck for more than two hours Friday evening.

The crash happened in the west bound lanes of Interstate 70 in the area of Route 40 in Bethel Township.

At least 15 vehicles were involved.  It is unclear about injuries.

Our 2 NEWS crew stopped at a nearby gas station where drivers pulled off to get out of the traffic.  One man said he was ready to go back home to Texas.

We snapped one photo of a car that was involved in the crash sitting in the gas station parking lot.  You can see the damage with a fresh coat of snow already covering it.

Interstate 675 was down to a crawl as several crashes were cluttering the highway.  Another problem area was Interstate 71 in Jeffersonville where the highway traffic was stopped due to a rash of accidents. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
