Michigan fugitive caught at St. Marys campground

AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – A fugitive from Michigan was arrested in Auglaize County last week.

Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon told 2 NEWS Robert James Beck, 36, tracked to a campground near St. Marys after tip from the U.S. Marshal’s Office in Toledo.

He was wanted for parental kidnapping in Michigan for the illegal removal of his 1-year-old child.

The child was also found unharmed at the campground and turned over to the Auglaize County Department of Job and Family Services.  The child was eventually turned over to another Social Services Agency that had a protective custody order for the child.

Beck was taken into custody without incident.

He is being held in the Auglaize County Jail where he is being held pending extradition to the State of Michigan.
