MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) – The Moraine Planning Commission met Tuesday evening to set the stage to seal the deal on the old General Motors Plant.

Commissioners approved the reconfiguration of lots to accommodate the sale of part of the plant to the Chinese automotive glass manufacturer Fuyao.

It is set to occupy about 120 acres on the north side of the property.

The company that owns the former GM site says the next big move on their end will be the closing with Fuyao.

A closing date and sale price have not yet been made public.

Kudos were handed out all around at the meeting, thanking one another for the team effort to piece together the deal that will bring 800 jobs to town.
