Guard in Price case remains on home detention

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A news conference set for Tuesday was cancelled after a Montgomery County judge has decided he will not revoke an electronic monitoring order for one of the security guards accused in the shooting death of Dante Price.

A SCLC news conference was planned for Tuesday afternoon that featured Price’s supporters following a hearing where Justin Wissinger could have been removed from home detention.

Wessinger and Christopher Tarbert were working as security guards in 2012 when Price was shot and killed at the Summit Square Townhomes in Dayton.

The guards claimed Price tried to run over them with his car. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
