MIAMI TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – Your donations at Panera Bread are paying off.

The restaurant donated $26,000 Tuesday evening to the Children’s Hunger Alliance.

The money comes from the 2013 coin collection containers at registers across the area.

“What we love about Children’s Hunger Alliance is all the funds that are raised here in Dayton, stay in Dayton,” said Lisa Boum, Panera Bread.

“That kind of money allows us to support our after school programs. That will feed approximately another 1,000 children in the Dayton area,” said Holly Maloney, Children’s Hunger Alliance.

The coin donations at the register are matched dollar for dollar by Panera Bread.
