Surveillance video could help solve a murder

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – On September 30, Dominique Gentry, 19, was fatally shot to death while driving in the area of North Orchard and Edison avenues.

Detectives are now trying to identify a person of interest who was seen on nearby surveillance video and is possibly involved in this shooting.

The way he walks may give him away.

“This person has a distinctive gait, arms swing side to side, so perhaps someone will recognize him. At the time, he was driving a maroon Cadillac Eldorado. We’re still looking to id this person of interest,” said Detective Cayce Cantrell, Dayton Police Department.

The family of Dominique Gentry saw the surveillance video, but they don’t recognize the man.

As they deal with their loss, they know that someone out there has the answers they need.

“I would ask you to please come forward. I know you’re not resting because I’m not resting. We are a God fearing family. God knows and sees all.  You’re not going to be able to rest.  Come forward to give us some closure,” said Crystal Gentry, victim’s mother.
