XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Greene County Commissioner Tom Koogler says it is back to the drawing board.  The commission was unable to reach an agreement with members’ top choice for county administrator, Warren Brown.

Koogler told 2 NEWS Investigates Brown would not agree to a one year contract with the option of extending it.  Koogler said Brown wanted a longer contract up front.  Koogler said the salary of $115,000 was not a sticking point.

Koogler called Brown an “excellent candidate.”  Last week, 2 NEWS Investigates reported Brown was on the ballot in Sandusky County for county auditor.

Howard Poston is due to leave the position of county administrator February 28.

Koogler said, “There will be no interruption of services.”

Koogler told 2 NEWS Investigates an assistant county administrator has been named with the authority to handle county business while the search continues. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
