DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton Power and Light is already dealing with a nasty winter season, but the electric company is ready should severe storms break out tonight.

DP&L says a plan is in place to restore power as quickly as possible should it go out.

Storm Team 2 says some of the biggest concern will be trees and limbs coming down in high winds, so we asked DP&L what is the one thing you need to know most.

“Without question, if you encounter an outage or see a downed line, give us a call.  Let us as experts come out and diagnose the problem, remedy it and make sure it’s all ok before you or your kids, your pets outside the house,” said Bruce Coppock, DP&L.

Should your power go out, remember WDTN.com and Storm Team 2 are always accessible from anywhere on your tablet or smart phone.
