TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — Trotwood Madison High School Army JROTC hosted its 18th annual Running Ram Battalion drill competition Saturday morning.
A dozen teams from around the state competed in the program.
Participants were judged in a number of categories including armed, unarmed, and color guard events.
“They teach you good discipline, respect, show you how you’re supposed to treat others around you, teach you drill, precision, like basic things that will help you enter the military if you want to enter,” said Teaira Sharp, a battalion commander with Trotwood JROTC.
The purpose of JROTC is to motivate young people to become better citizens.
