FAIRFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio Attorney General’s Crimes Against Children Unit says it arrested a registered sex offender on suspicion that he had child porn.
Agents arrested Brent King, 47, of Fairfield at his home. They say they confiscated electronics believed to contain child pornography.
“This defendant was convicted of sexually abusing a child in the past and now we believe he has victimized other children through the sharing and downloading of child pornography,” said Attorney General Mike DeWine. “The role of the Crimes Against Children Unit is to assist local law enforcement agencies in going after offenders like this one by one.”
Investigators say King was designated a sex offender after his conviction in Indiana on a child molestation charge in 2007.
King is being held at the Butler County Jail on a parole violation. More charges are pending.
