DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN)- Safety doesn’t take a vacation during Spring Break.

That’s why AAA was at Sinclair Community College Tuesday talking to students.

Whether traveling by car or plane, getting to your destination without an issue is important.

If you’re driving, it’s important to know that traffic laws vary from state to state.

AAA has an easy guide online to help you called “Know Before You Go”.

It outlines each state’s laws on everything from texting to seat belts.

Getting there is just half the battle.  Staying alert while on vacation is key too.

“Just because you’re out having fun, that you still need to remember basic personal safety rules.  Don’t tell strangers where your room is and things like that and, you know, watch the drinking because it can certainly cause some problems with your ability to make good sound decisions,” says AAA spokesperson Cindy Antrican.
