Troopers arrest 2 on I-75

TROY, Ohio (WDTN) – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested two people on drug charges after stopping to check a disabled vehicle in Miami County..

The car was stopped along Interstate 75 in Troy, Feb. 21. When troopers approached the vehicle they said they detected a strong odor of raw marijuana and conducted a probable cause search.

They said the search uncovered marijuana, 155 ounces of liquid Codeine, and 1,623 Hydrocodone pills.

The driver, Erik L. Coates Jr., 21, of Detroit, Mich., and passenger, Takia S. Harris, 21, of Louisville Ky., were booked into the Miami County Jail.
