TROY, Ohio (WDTN) – Several students were removed from a Troy school Wednesday morning for being under the influence of drugs.
The incident involved three female students at Troy Junior High School, according to Capt. Joe Long of the Troy Police Department. One girl is 13 years old. Another is only 12 years old.
Police officers and fire department medics were called to the school to assist. An incident report states the girls “ingested pills”. Police say one of the girls told them she took the medication from a medicine drawer at her home.
Troy City Schools Superintendent Eric Herman told 2 NEWS the students were taken to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Charges are pending until confirmation can be made about exactly what type of drug was ingested.
