Home invasion suspect arrested in Butler Co.

WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WDTN) – A suspect in a recent Auglaize County home invasion was arrested in Hamilton, Ohio Thursday.

Acting on a tip,  Austin B.  Ball, 18, of Maria Stein, Ohio was taken into custody by detectives and officers from Hamilton Police Department, according to Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon.

Solomon said Ball was driving a stolen vehicle at the time.

“This arrest is a result of great work on the part of the detectives and deputies from the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office. Also the Hamilton Ohio Police Department did an outstanding job of working with our detectives,” said Solomon. “This is a great example of a collaborative effort with the citizens and law enforcement working together.”

Ball is currently in the Butler County Jail awaiting transport back to Auglaize County where he will face the charge of robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
