VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Thousands of compressed bottles were strewn across Brown School Road in Vandalia Friday afternoon after a semi truck flipped on its side.
The crash is near the intersection of Little York Road. Little York remains open to traffic, but Brown School is closed until clean up is complete. Crews say that could take a couple of hours.
Police say the trucker somehow lost control and tipped, dumping his load. They say speed might be a contributing factor.
Officers say the truck was carrying 42,000 pounds of compressed 2 liter bottles.
The driver was not hurt. He was cited for failure to control his truck.
