Xenia man admits to murdering his neighbor

XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) – A surprise plea Friday afternoon from the man accused of killing his neighbor.

Joseph Ramilla pleaded guilty to the murder of Lynn Hamblin, 59. He was scheduled for arraignment, but pleaded out instead. He also admitted to robbery and kidnapping charges.

Hamblin was found dead in her East Church Street home in Xenia last May. Ramilla lived across the street from his victim. He did an interview with 2 NEWS about who is neighbor was shortly after her body was discovered.

Ramilla was immediately sentenced to life in prison without a chance for parole.
