DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Many of Klonda Richey’s cats were available for adoption Saturday through the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center.

The ARC waived cat adoption fees to make sure her animals found loving homes.

In the weeks leading up to today, The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center has been working closely with the family of Klonda Richey to care for and find homes for her cats.  Previously, several cats had been adopted by Klonda’s friends and co-workers.

Klonda was killed when her neighbors’ dogs mauled her to death on East Bruce Avenue in February.

To honor her memory, Klonda’s family asked people to adopt a pet.

If you want to adopt on of Richie’s cats, they come spayed or neutered and microchipped. Visit the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center during regular business hours.
