Robbery at ‘killer dogs’ home

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man is arrested after police say he tried to steal from the same home where a woman was mauled to death by her neighbors’ dogs

Karl Henderson, 42, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on robbery charges.

Officers were called to 35 East Bruce Avenue after 5p.m. Friday after the homeowner called police and said someone broke into his home and tried to steal his belongings.

According to officers, the homeowner came home and found Henderson standing in his living room holding a bag full of his belongings. Police said a scuffle between the two ensued and Henderson ran from the home.

Police caught up with him and took him into custody.

Officers said he tried to take a DVD, Ramen noodles, a door handle and lock, and a couple packs of batteries from the home.
