Missing child found in Las Vegas

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A girl who has been missing since November was found Thursday with her mother in Las Vegas.

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Eva Villamor-Goubeaux for a charge of interference with custody.

The girl, 4, was last seen when her father returned her to Villamor-Goubeaux after a visitation session in Troy. The Marshals Service says Villamor-Goubeaux took the girl and left the state.

Troy Police learned the girl and her mother were seen in New York in January. They enlisted the help of U.S. Marshals to track the pair down. A few weeks later the Marshals determined they were in Las Vegas.

A team from the U.S. Marshals Service put Villamor-Goubeaux under surveillance and took her into custody a few days later. She is currently being held in a Las Vegas-area jail awaiting extradition back to Ohio.

The girl was reunited with her father.
