LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Warren County Sheriff is warning residents of a “scam” targeting the elderly.

The sheriff’s office was recently contacted by an elderly resident who said he received a call from a man claiming to be from the Warren County Probate Court.

The caller said he wanted to come to the resident’s home to help him with his finances.

A man did show up at the house that deputies describe as a middle aged, white male, with short salt and pepper hair. He was driving a white Cadillac.

The sheriff advises anyone receiving calls or visits from any person identifying them as a representative of the Warren County Probate Court to contact their local law enforcement agency.

Anyone with information about this suspect is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office at 513 695-1280.
