BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – Residents of Beavercreek will be pleased to learn that the Beavercreek City Schools will receive $492,051.90 in energy efficiency rebates from Dayton Power & Light.

This rebate is a result of the district’s use of innovative construction methods at Coy Middle and Trebein Elementary schools.

The methods include a geothermal heating and cooling system, insulated concrete form walls, daylight harvesting or high windows, sloped ceilings, solar tubes, triple-glazed glass windows, occupancy sensors and daylight controls.

The sizable award represents the largest single DP&L  rebate to date.
