Four in custody after Dayton drug raid

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Four people have been taken into custody after Dayton Police served a search warrant at a house in the 900 block of Wyoming Street Thursday night.

Inside the house, police found evidence of crack and marijuana, as well as several guns.  Thirteen adults were inside the house, as well as a five-year-old child.

Only four of the adults are facing charges, although that may change as the investigation continues.

Officials told 2 NEWS they were led to the house after concerned neighbors called Crime Stoppers.

“We’re not too far from a playground, there’s numerous kids out, I mean there’s kids out right now and it’s almost 11:00, and they’re out watching,” said Sgt. Matt Beavers of the Dayton Police Department.  “Obviously the neighborhood’s concerned because of the amount of families that do live here.”

Wyoming Street was closed while police were on scene.  SWAT teams were also called in since the tip indicated weapons were inside the house, but the suspects were taken into custody without incident. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
