DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Even Bart Simpson has a soft side. At least his better half does.

Nancy Cartwright, who is the voice of the Simpsons’ rambunctious son, visited Dayton Children’s Hospital Friday afternoon.

She read to the children and signed autographs.

Cartwright is a Kettering native. She graduated from Fairmont High School.

She brings many animated characters to life in addition to Bart. She is the voice of Chuckie Finster in Rugats and Mindy in Animaniacs to name just a couple.

Cartwright is in town to perform alongside the Dayton Philharmonic at the Schuster Center this weekend.

Visit the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance web site for tickets.
