Dayton Demonz honor fallen firefighter


TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — The Dayton Demonz honored a fallen Phillipsburg firefighter Saturday at Hara Arena.

Phillipsburg firefighter Art Springer died in January after he was diagnosed with double pneumonia, caused by the H1N1 virus.

Saturday, Art’s memory was honored at the Police vs. Firefighters Charity Game and the Dayton Demonz vs. the Danville Dashers game.

Art’s daughter, Mollie Springer, dropped the puck for the games.
