Man beaten, robbed outside Dayton carryout

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officers are investigating after a man was beaten and robbed outside of a Dayton carryout.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Friday near Delphos Carryout at 2903 West Third Street.

When officers arrived, they found the victim unconscious laying in the alley.

According to the police report, the victim was attacked by a group of men. The victim told police one of them hit him in the head with a hammer. The men took $20 cash from him and then ran from the scene.

The victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for his injuries, which were believed to be non-life-threatening.
