Man rescued from grain silo

CENTERVILLE, Ind. (WDTN) — A man was not injured after he was rescued from a grain silo on Saturday morning.

The incident happened in the 7500 block of Tice Road around 10 a.m.

According to officials, workers were unloading grain when the grain crested on top of the silo. The worker then climbed in and became trapped.

Crews from multiple jurisdictions were called to the scene. It took them about two hours to rescue the victim.

The man was uninjured and was not taken to the hospital.
