MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN)- “It’s a good time to get some ice cream when the weather gets warmer,” says Jacob Welter.
A cold treat on a warmer winter day.
Dixie Dairy Dreem in Moraine was busy Saturday.as many people stopped by after spending the day outside.
“We went on a nice hike today. We thought it would be a good day to get outdoors a little bit. We’ve been couped up inside,” comments Welter.
Next door, cars were lined up at the car wash, waiting to get washed.
That’s where we found Damian Thompson and his 6-year-old stepdaughter Aviva. They’re are excited to finally get out of the house.
“We’re going to go find a park somewhere in the area and take a walk or let her go to the playground and run around,” explains Thompson.
Meanwhile, Lou Caruso is hoping if he dresses the part, the warmer weather will stick around.
“I’ve lived in San Diego. I’ve lived in New Jersey. Ohio’s winters are, this one was tough but I’m in shorts, you’re not. So, maybe I have the right idea,” says Caruso.
Even with possible snow in the forecast, he’s looking on the bright side.
“A little snow won’t hurt anybody. I mean, again, with the temperatures melting everything, I think that’s the good news,” comments Caruso.
