Woman robbed after riding RTA

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after a woman was robbed after getting off the RTA bus.

The victim told officers she was riding the RTA from Wilmington Avenue to the stop at Woodley Road and Springfield Street Friday afternoon. She said she got off the bus around 4:30 p.m. and a black male attacked her. The victim said he grabbed her coat and attempted to take her change purse. The suspect then punched her in the eye, grabbed her purse and then ran.

Police said he got away with her cell phone and $50 in cash.

Officers are still looking for the suspect.
