Dog rescued from burning Trotwood home

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — Firefighters rescued a dog from a burning home in Trotwood.

Heavy smoke billowed from the home at 4252 Curundu Avenue around 4 p.m. Sunday.

The family was home at the time t, but they made it out safely. Crews had to rescue a dog from inside.

Damage is estimated at $20,000.

The family with have to stay elsewhere. The Red Cross is being considered.

Fire officials are still looking into how the fire started.
